Chris Walker

Chris has 25 years of international (US, EU, Switzerland, Australia) experience pioneering leadership in climate and sustainability strategy, innovation, program development and initiative implementation. He is a high-impact global sustainability business executive with an accomplished track record focused on corporate engagement and promotion of market-based strategies to address challenges such as scaling the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), ESG asset management, climate change mitigation, adaptation and resiliency.

As a visibility raiser/event organizer with world-class corporate, investor, NGO, UN and government network, Chris created Climate Week, NYC as the pivotal annual event for business to engage/educate global influencers on climate engagement globally.  He currently serves as advisor for Nest Climate Summit (NYC), Blue Stone Life (first sustainable life insurer) and NEX Climate Index.

Chris served as a Managing Director for Swiss Re developing and implementing Swiss Re’s climate and sustainability business strategy and as a Director in EY’s Climate and Sustainability Services. He also was the executive director for North America for two business engagement organizations, the Climate Group and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, where he had extensive exposure to a wide array of industry, agriculture and financial services.
