David is an engineer and senior business leader with over 30 years of experience in project management, product development, technology commercialization and corporate venturing. Most recently, David was a Project Director at Hatch, leading client engagements in the areas of mineral processing, automation, machinery design, EV technology development, and renewable power integration and energy storage. Prior to this role, David was Technologies Manager at Hatch, where he led the integration of distributed energy resources into mine site power systems and remote community microgrids in multiple jurisdictions around the world, development of microgrid controls solutions, and investigations in energy saving comminution technologies from concept and justification through to implementation. David’s experience spans the globe, with a particular focus on North America, Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

 

Creative and technically diverse, with an intense focus on client and market needs, David oversees project management and delivery for the Global Climate Finance Accelerator. He holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from Queen’s University and an MBA from the University of Toronto’s Rotman School of Management. He is a Professional Engineer in Ontario and a certified Project Management Professional.
